Hexham

More excitement! A trip down to Newcastle this afternoon for my second Covid jab. "We'll be an hour early", said MrM as we approached the city, just before we hit the traffic jam through roadworks. Eventually arrived with 5 minutes to spare, so all good in the end!

Mid-May, so we had hoped for good weather and had planned a drive back through the hills. But the weather wasn't playing ball, and there was thick cloud cover all day. We did drive back through the hills, but couldn't actually see them through the murk! Enjoyed fish & chips from the chippy in Prudhoe, and had a pleasant walk by the river in Hexham. (I'm sure I didn't have the camera on the correct setting, and it's a grainy photo, but shows it like it was - grey!) Then back passed Wallington and through Rothbury.

So chilly in the flat when we got back that MrM lit the fire...
