Blooming at last

At last we have some pink bloom on the trees. It has only just come out, and in many cases still to open. This seems to be several weeks later than last year.

The day was quite cool, around 9º at best and generally overcast. No sign of any sunshine today.

I realised I must have been out too long when I was suddenly engulfed in school children as I was returning via the gardens. Not easy. to maintain a distance when the school discharges the masses onto the street, all of whom are desperately seeking sustenance.
