Still patches...

of snow left at quite low altitudes, but this area has a wealth of wildlife to reveal, from the Cuckoo sitting on the phone line and then calling, to the nesting birds including Wheatears, Oystercatchers, Lapwings, Skylarks and Sand Martins. There are Black headed and Common Gulls nesting along the burnside and I just missed walking into a nest containing  three eggs. There was a Roe Deer grazing in the woodland  and  a Mountain Hare, most of his white gone now, on the upland . The extra shows why he is aptly called the Blue Hare.
If Berger reads this, I hope he knows how much I am thinking about him and will continue to do so throughout the next difficult months for him. Good luck my friend.
