The Outer Edges of Garden Decor

This house is a couple of minutes walk down the road. I could make an entire two-year journal out of pictures of the houses in Santa Cruz. I like the hotch-potch arrangement of styles side-by-side, and the not-trying-too-hardness of it. They seem very casual and beachy.

The garden of this place has a very eclectic mix of ....well, at it's core it's birdboxes. But then there's all the rest. Maybe it's stuff found washed up on the beach, maybe everything you ever had on the top of a birthday cake. (Maybe, just to throw me off, there's no category at all.....?).

But that picket fence adds a whole lot to Minnie's domain (she's by the gate...it's her place). It's a magical world of stories-in-your-head.

(Of course, let's remember that the actual world is a magical world of stories-in-our-heads.)
