Door knockers of Bridlington....

And now, as they say, for something completely different ......

Our first dull day, this morning we spend our time exploring Bridlington. The ‘Historic Old town’ comes as quite a surprise, full of delightfully preserved old buildings.

As we wander round, I notice a wonderful assortment of door furniture, and decide to photograph each one - an action which gains some strange responses from the locals. My favourites are the fox and the bee, but I like them all. 

Unfortunately, G has realised the film version of Dad’s Army was filmed in Bridlington and along the surrounding coastline, so we’re now in our cottage watching the DVD  - the owner having thoughtfully left a copy; it could be a long evening ....
