Trip to the town hall in Es Mercadal today to renew my partner's padronamiento (resident registration) document in order to be able to request a covid vaccine now that they're doing his age group. Hopefully he'll be able to get one soon. My youngest son has just had his 2nd Pfizer shot - he's 29 but is working in Abu Dhabi where they seem pretty efficient in getting everyone done. His older siblings in the UK are still waiting.
We're so used to the restrictions here that I look on in disbelief at the news that masks and social distancing are due to be scrapped in a massive easing of rules in the UK next week. Rules that were largely ignored anyway. What could possibly go wrong? Just hoping that they continue to regard Spain as an "amber" country to dissuade tourists. We want to stamp out this virus.
