Bedraggled

During the depths of winter Monty was reluctant to take his morning constitutional but in the last few weeks he's had a renewed spring in his step. Maybe he just doesn't like the dark mornings. I'm with him on that.

This morning's walk took us across a narrow concrete bridge over a stream which is deeper than usual because of the recent rain. Poor Monty took a tumble off the bridge and was fully submerged.

He scrambled out quickly with all but his dignity intact.
