Things that keep me busy

The recliner that was ‘eating’ every pillow as the gap between bottom part and back top is too wide, has gotten a pad that is supposed to attach itself to the leather of the chair and by that cover the gap. As you can see in the picture, it isn’t perfect. But I might work on it and make it better.
The reason why I am posting this , is that I am so positively surprised by the willingness of a Chinese women , employee of the company who makes the recliners, to help me with my complaint long after the warranty time was over.
When I ordered the chair via Amazon last October, I had no idea that it came from China. Through trade wars during our last government, we got imprinted with this idea that China is “bad”, that they only want our worst etc.
This woman proved the opposite: kind, friendly, over the top helpful even though she and her company weren’t obliged to do anything.
China isn’t China. It is an assembly of over nearly 1.4 billion of individuals, human beings....
I am feeling grateful
