Wet wonderland
Wet, verging on warm, the comforting smell of bluebells and dampened wild garlic in the air.
Westonbirt was nice and quiet because of the constant light rain. I was there 2 hours and by the time I left the car park looked pretty full.
As I drove through Tetbury I noticed nearly everyone walking around was wearing a mask, that’s a significant change. In the past people were just wearing them in shops.
My walking boots are absolutely saturated so they’ll need a good dry out, a brush and then a proper cleanse / waterproof treatment. I walked 5.5 miles and took a long time exploring off the main tracks. I feel much better for the change of scenery.
Home to dry clothes and a cup of English Breakfast tea. Bliss.
