Holy Island Marathon....Check:-)

Well, yet again, for the 2nd time of running this blooming awesome race, the start line location in Lower Burnmouth did not disappoint.
Just so sublime to look out over this as we set off along the coastal route, which took in all terrain’s, rolling paths, golf courses, roads, sand dunes, Pilgrims Crossing through the water onto the Holy Island, and then, a final stretch over some more, what felt like Everest sized Sand Dunes, before finishing past Lindisfarne Castle then my usual sprint to the line just outside the Crown & Anchor Pub.
What a day, it’s what I love about running and the running community, and to be able to savour a Marathon Race again, wow, just amazing.
Now it’s time for a few beers and a pizza as I’ve not ate since my porridge at 4.30am.....rather peckish:-)
