Stone Fanks
A good morning with a visit to the exhibition of arial photographer and fellow blipper Treshnish. Via bf and Fb we have followed C’s progress capturing the story of stone fanks on Mull, each one different, some must be 150 plus years old, for us today was the highlight.
I had booked a half hour slot in the gallery in Tobermory for Boomerang and myself to view the work of Treshnish and a young artist fresh out of college. The highlight of the viewing was an arial photograph of a stone fank by Treshnish and a screen print of the photo by the visiting artist Eve Campbell.
See extras.
Fortunately there was no rush, our half hour slot was extrended for which we felt grateful, a lot to take in and the detailed information C had left for visitor to read was excellent E was our host, a delightful young woman who answered our questions when possible and later established that our planned place for eating out was closed, never mind we found a good alternative with a view over the bay. A great morning out.
On the way home I called in to see a friend and drop something off, we had a good chat, I arrived home bouncing, only later to realise that the post lunch coffee wasn’t decaf as ordered. Oops. Not sure how much sleep I will have tonight.
