Rusty Shovel
this old shovel was liberated from the abandoned railroad tracks at the canary station where the rust has claimed all manners of steel.
it has a new home at the corner of the pumphouse above our hillside home in the circle of the maple creek hills.
the shovel was made in ireland. it's true temper forged steel.
the blade is split and the handle is bent.
i don't know what that says about the irish temper. (actually, i should. i'm half irish.)
