Orange Tip

Another orange day. Planned to go over to Bolton Abbey today, but the weather looked pretty ominous so we did an about turn and walked round Havarah Park instead. The redstarts are back, J got a distant viewing, but I was enjoying the butterflies. This one was resting by the car and I was delighted to see it, I’ve never seen this beautiful outer wing patterning so clearly, I sat with it for a while until the sun made a brief appearance - then it opened its wings and flew.

Tennis this afternoon, and now looking forward to a nice roast dinner. Hope the weekend has been kind to you
