Amigurumi

Well, this is an Amigurumi Christmas light!  I have had three attempts and this is the best I have managed so far.  Despite following the instructions exactly I still ended up with four more stitches than I should have.  The first two attempts had ten too many stitches and ended up just looking weird.  This one is okay I think, though it only measures 3 and a half inches long instead of 4, but hey-ho!

The extra show the book this pattern came from.  Kawaii means cute so I am told.  My son bought it for me for my birthday.  The amigurumi have to be made using a 2 and a quarter size crochet hook - I didn’t even know you could get a size between a 2 and a 2 and a half!  I’ve now just got to finish off the ends and it’s done (my husband says its expression looks like Kevin the Carrot from the Christmas ads!)
