I don’t know what got into me today but I was on a roll! I’d already got the sourdough proving, left it to rise overnight, so I used the sourdough starter that was left over from that to make drop scones. Room for improvement ... but the rhubarb and gin jam I made to go with them was nice.

The slices are made with tahini, a sesame seed paste. I wouldn’t say the slices taste of sesame, in fact I don’t know how to describe the taste, but they do taste nice.

The bread came out ok. I am definitely a convert to sourdough bread now!
