THERE'S A CAT ON THE LAWN
#STATESSTATESSTATES
I just went through all of the pictures from this weekend and I'm dying.
I can't.
I love everyone so much.
But back to what happened today.
I woke up at 6:00 to double check that I had everything for #states. Then I went into school with my luggage and such and put it all in Colavita's room. In English, Jack dictated a "Jay-Z vs. The Great Gatsby" quiz. I got 9/10 right! In Italian we had a sub, but we still managed to get food from the cafeteria. We were signed out after second period, so we all headed to Colavita's room to "prepare to leave". We played Sporcle for two hours while eating everything in sight, including many pizzas.
When it finally was time to leave, we brought everything we could possibly need downstairs to our bus. Our driver's name was Harrison, and according to him, we needed to "represent New York City" well in our travels. He also showed us how the bus is actually a plane, and if you can't land, then you can't take off.
The bus ride there was delightful, much like the whole trip. We watched Back to the Future and ate food and I took a lot of pictures with people while they were sleeping. When we stopped at a rest stop for lunch, Jill and I got trapped on the bus with the people that didn't want to get off because Harrison accidentally slammed the door on us as we were trying to leave. A half an hour later, we arrived at Monroe-Woodbury High School for #STATES!!!
...only to find out that they had a snow day, no one was in the school, and all Friday night events were rescheduled for Saturday morning at 8:00. PART-A!
So we checked into the hotel and went to our rooms earlier than expected. Chris, Adam, Kenny, and I roomed together, and we were right next door to Jill, Hailey, and Sam. We went to their room after putting our stuff down and proceeded to jump on the beds. Adam caught a GREAT video of Kenny smacking Sam in the face with a pillow; I wish you could all see it.
After we decided that jumping on the beds wasn't a great idea, we lounged around for a little before going outside to play in the snow. Not even outside for five minutes and Chris nails some guy in the leg as he was walking out of the hotel. We quickly moved our party to the back... We tried making a snow man, but resorted to just throwing snow at the building. We took a bunch of really cute pictures. When the group that went to the shopping center to look around came back, we had a slight scuffle. Needless to say, no one went inside dry.
Kenny needed Hailey's help for "Materials Science" so we went and fetched her....we really just needed her to help us iron/blow dry our socks. She's a great sport. I wonder if she would have helped if #klarideees wasn't there...
We all ended up back on top of each other in the girls' room. We chilled until it was time to walk to dinner at T.G.I. Friday's. I sat with Jill, Hailey, Kenny, Sam, and Jonathan, and we had a blast. I told the waitress that it was Ms. Cahill's birthday, and I asked them to do their birthday-thing for her. We all shared a nice meal together, and just as dessert was being served, out came the waiters and waitresses with some ice cream, a candle, and a song for Ms. Cahill. Isabella tried to be sexy, Sam squirted Jack Daniels sauce in her eye, and Kenny revealed his inner dumpster.
On the way back from dinner, Jill, Colavita, and I went to Modell's to get some ping pong balls to practice Robot Arm. Inside, I found an awesome jacked for ONLY TWENTY DOLLARS. I'm so happy with that purchase. The walk home from the store was hilarious and ended too soon.
When we got back to the hotel, we all went back into the girls' room and hung out there for the rest of the night. Colavita and V-Train spent most of the time in there with us, just chatting about movies and such. Sam got mad at Kenny and I for being in her bed, but Jill and Hailey didn't seem to have a problem with half of the team laying all over each other on theirs. We decided that Ben Stiller is short, KPPC is a scary place, and Gerald DOESN'T USE HAIR GEL (he proved it).
We stayed in there until about 12:15ish, and then we all headed back to our rooms. Adam had already gone back to our room before, and Kenny wanted to pull a prank on him, but we ended up not doing it.
I'll have to post the next few blips tomorrow because it is 12:00 and I have school tomorrow.
