Homework

I have forgotten how to do long division.

Luckily the meddling goverment has decided that kids should learn 7 different ways to add, subtract and divide numbers.

Throwing them, the teachers and us into total confusion.

We can choose from chunking method, number line method, short vertical method, long vertical method or the grid method. Just when the kid has the grasp of one it is all change to another.

Sadly, like most things in life these days, I am begining to think I could do a better job of it myself.
