My Girls
I had a rather disastrous day yesterday and didn't blip, but to cut a long story short, I drove to Rachel's in Bertie Bus to pick up a sofa, then I was going to pick mum up and bring her back to Wales as it's her birthday tomorrow. After picking up the sofa, I broke down and the car was saying that there was an immobilisation problem and needed an engine service. Luckily we have Ford breakdown assist, so I called them and within 30 minutes the AA came out. The car started, but AA guy said there were 4 faults on the car and he needed to recover it and take it to a Ford garage close to home, but due to Covid he isn't allowed to take passengers. This meant Alan having to drive to pick me up, we then went for mum and finally got home just before 5pm! We now wait for news on Bertie Bus and hope it's not going to be too expensive a repair. As I had an hour to wait for Alan, I went to Ikea which I had planned to do anyway, and the AA man said he would follow me to Ikea and load the car up there, so that was handy!
Anyway back to today - I had arranged to do a birthday party for mum, and Rachel, Scott and the girls came down with Scott's mum Lynda, as it's her birthday on the 19th. As mum is in our 'bubble' and Lynda is in their 'bubble' we were officially still two households and in Wales two households were able to meet indoors from 3rd May. We had hoped to have the party in the garden but we had some heavy rain at lunch time so we had it in the conservatory instead with all the windows opened so it was well ventilated. But then this afternoon the sky cleared and the sun came out so we were able to sit outside.
We had a really lovely day and this is what our move was all about, to have days like this. I had planned to blip Mum, but I love this photo of my three girls, and as it's mum's birthday tomorrow, I'm sure she will feature then!
