Eggasperated

In between some very heavy showers I went into the garden to top up the potatoes, which are shooting up fast at the moment. They obviously like this wet weather.

Checking the pots I noticed this broken egg.
I’m sure the magpies are to blame.
I am always chasing them out of the garden. Noticed one with its head in the ivy a couple of days ago, which is where the blackbirds are nesting.
This is probably what it was after.

Sometimes a blip just jumps out at you with no effort on my part at all.
