Bridge repairs

This footbridge at Dean Village has been closed for months - at last there are some signs that something is happening. We shall see...

It will be nice when they get the footpath along the river repaired too. It has been closed for years as it is unsafe. This hasn’t stopped people climbing the barriers and using it though. Negotiations with various landowners and discussions on how to safely stop the side of the hill falling into the river have been protracted, and then COVID arrived and everything stopped. Work is scheduled to start soon, fingers crossed.
