Roadmap Out Of Lockdown Step 3 - Day 1

Totterdown, Bristol - known for its colourful Victorian terraces that totter down to the River Avon, built to house workers for the nearby railway industry at that time, and in 2016 named "fifth hippest place to live in the UK" by the Times newspaper.

Accompanied mum into Bristol this morning, and while she was at her appointment, went for a wander around Totterdown. To the right of the photo, after the white house, you can see some blue and white scaffolding cladding on a house at the end of Vale Street, allegedly the steepest residential road in England (see extra for a better view). The cladding hides a hole in the house, a hole with a story to tell. In December 2020 a Banksy painting appeared on the side of the house overnight ( https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-55257267 ) but then in March 2021 the painting, and the wall, were controversially removed ( https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-56098124 ).

This afternoon yet another visit to the vet as poor Toff hasn’t eaten anything solid for two days. She was given two jabs to help stimulate her appetite but if she doesn’t eat properly in the next 24hrs then we shall be heading back that way again.

Take care, stay safe and well...
