Crab Apple blossom
We headed out for a short walk late morning. It’s our fourth long weekend at our “home away from home”. There is no doubt that we made the right decision. Just 100 yards from our door we enter ancient woodland and a large meadow (extra). The walk was rapidly curtailed by heavy rain (followed by hail).
I am trying to learn a bit more about the wild plants around us up here. The crab apple blossom is very evident, and lots of little pink blossom heads I identified as Marsh Valerian. Greater Stitchwort, Garlic Mustard and Dogs Mercury also very evident, as well as bluebell, primrose and cowslip ( the ones I know).
