Damn didn't get it straight

Stressful day. Mum got doorstepped by a creepy gardener/builder on Sat eve and agreed to some work. Today she significantly overpayed him for shoddy work so he would go away. Terrified he comes back and hassles her for more easy money. She is so annoyed with herself as well so dont want to make it worse.
