Fairburn Ings RSPB

SUNDAY

Scarified the front lawn in the sunshine. Then held up for the best part of an hour by heavy rain and hailstones before raking up the moss and mowing the grass.

A trip to the bathroom showroom early afternoon and then over to the RSPB centre at Fairburn Ings for a 6 km walk through the reserve. We arrived in a thunderstorm but it soon cleared up and stayed dry during the two hours we were there.

We spotted the following:
Blackbird, Black Headed Gull, Buzzard, Chaffinch, Coots, Great Crested Grebe, Grey Heron, Magpie, Mallard, Robin, Swan
