The Beech Tree Nursery
The spring cleaning continues within and gardening continues without.
The semicircle area of garden in front of the house and between the entrance gates has been left untouched for about two years.
This has resulted in several beech nuts turning into whips. There are about 50 which I plan to move in the autumn and form a hedge.
Looking around the remainder of The Policies, I have marked out another 20 potential trees. They are Oaks, Maples, Birch, Rowan, Holly, Silver Birch, and Cotoneaster. And a Scots Pine.
All self seeded and all doing well. I can see a busy Autumn ahead.
