Poppy Bud

Mrs madwill’s birthday today…and we met up with our daughter and son-in-law for an indoor (yay) coffee at Monks Cross near York. Grandchildren at school / childminder so it was nice for them to be able to get out together.

We also visited a garden centre to shop for some new houseplants for Mrs madwill!

Photographed this poppy bud that is emerging just outside our back door. It was just catching the morning sun. I popped a black card behind it to help show it up. I liked all the little spikes around the outside and the little tease of an opening to show the flower is nearly here.
