New lifer on today’s nature walk
I went out to meet with a birding group this morning for a walk around the preserve that I go to frequently (just last night, in fact, for the picture of the very well hidden alligator). I was hoping to see some things I might’ve been missing before. Great morning outing. The northern bobwhite in the lower left, featured photo, is a new lifer for me and apparently is a relatively rare sighting. All the people in the birding group were very excited to see it.
The other shots are a dragonfly, a butterfly (would you just sit still!), A water lily with its lovely reflection, a passion flower (another new one for me) and an alligator that can’t be missed even if this one is about 10% of the size of the one from yesterday.
