Overhanging Trees, and Reflections
I picked up Janice and took her to the woods with us today. We just had a gentle wander, and not too far, but it was lovely. The sun shining through the trees gives dappled light, and there are shadows galore, and reflections in the burn. Janice was delighted to see the tiny orange ladybirds, and she was just happy to be in a wood again. Since she stopped driving she misses all the walks she used to go on.
Once home again I pottered in the garden, then Geordie and I walked along to the school to pick up Hannah from Nursery. Geordie got very excited watching the children coming out until he spotted Hannah, then it was kisses and cuddles all round.
His lead has two handles, one about half way down, which is meant for extra control, but is perfect for Hannah to hold while I hold the end of the lead. So we walked home like that and Hannah was very proud.
When we got in we made a smoothie, according to Hannah`s directions. I kind of lost track of all that was in it, but it tasted good anyway.
Then we played with the fairy house, made-up jigsaws, played with Geordie, and had our tea.
Just before tea was ready Don phoned from Edinburgh, but I hardly got the chance to say two words before Hannah wanted to chat to him. She calls him Uncle Don and they chatted away for ages. Boy, can that girl talk! Don has gone back to work, so he misses baby Bonnie during the day, but makes up for it when he gets home.
An Extra of leaf shadows on a tree.
