Male common whitethroat

I only know this because I sent a picture in an email to a friend who knows everything there is to know about British birds!
Today the weather was beautiful. We drove for an hour to Millom in the Western Lake District. We did a lovely walk and saw lots of eider ducks, many types of tern, hooper swans, and many small birds quite a few of which I didn't know. I had a great time taking lots of photos. We had a picnic lunch overlooking the Duddon estuary towards the northern end of Barrow in Furness.
