Birthday Boy

This morning we took advantage of a short break in the rain to take a walk in the Dawlish Warren Nature Reserve which is next to the beach just outside the town.  We then had lunch at Amelia's Pantry, the restaurant at the main Cofton site.  Although we are allowed inside to eat now we chose to eat outside in one of their pods.

After lunch we met Colin and went with him to his friend's house where they were throwing an afternoon cream tea 60th birthday party set up in a gazebo in their garden.  The main picture is of Colin cutting his cake, whilst a hungry little dog under the table looks on expectantly.  The extra is the select group of his friend's helping him celebrate.

Note:  it was actually last year that Colin turned 60 and he had been preparing a much larger gathering in a Dawlish.  Due to Covid restrictions this all had to be abandoned and a zoom virtual party was organised instead.  Today was to make up in part for that!
