None But the Brave

A stunningly beautiful day but soooo cold! The gardener decided that the grass had to have its first cut: crazy man! As we're heading to the mainland this afternoon, I just had to pot on the primula, lupins and delphiniums I had bought in the knowledge that it's milder on Arran !! Ha ha! Poor little plants were fixed in icebound compost and even with a nice warm dry additional layer in bigger pots, I don't expect them to survive. We'll see.

However, to avoid disappointing me, the camellia put forth one single glorious bloom as a promise of things to come.
