Petrified Peeps

Neighbor: So, these your peeps?

Me: No, not my peeps, there's only one.

Neighbor (scowling): Don't get smart with me.

Me: I'm not that smart.

Neighbor: You know what I mean. Did you put the peep here?

Me: Nope, the peep popped up on Easter Sunday.  It appears to have solidified since then.

Neighbor (face turning red): Some people just don't respect public property!

Me (thinking but not speaking): You just said peep!
