Found another ball. Yay!

Walked across the Meadows to Newington. Jumped on a No. 7 bus and went to Newhaven. Found a pink ball as soon as I got off the bus. Yay! I carried it all the way home (5.16 miles which took us an hour and a half) and put it into my toy basket. I almost lost it when we walked back over the Meadows (in this Blip) as I kept putting it down so that I could roll around on my back. Fortunately I remembered to pick it up again because Ann said she wasn't even going to touch such a manky ball. I've got quite a big collection of balls now.

This afternoon I had to stay 'home alone' for a couple of hours while Ann went shopping. She hasn't bought any new clothes for more than a year and could really do with some new lightweight walking trousers. Unfortunately most of the shops that she went into didn't have their fitting rooms open. Why not???

Fitting rooms are allowed to open so as far as my human is concerned, the shops that aren't opening them are just being lazy. Ann doesn't want to buy a load of stuff, take it home and then have to go back again with all the stuff that doesn't fit. How is that even sensible? It's like making people go out (on an extra trip) when actually if they'd tried the clothes on in the shop, they'd know if they fitted or not.

Big shout out to M&S whose staff in the fitting rooms were fabulous. They couldn't have been more COVID safe, friendly, professional and just generally helpful. Unfortunately the trousers Ann tried on made her look really fat. That's probably because she is fat. Lol!

But seriously............................ Why aren't other shops opening up their changing rooms?.................... If 'Next' had opened up their changing rooms, Ann would probably have spent almost £100 in there today. As it was, she didn't spend anything what a great way to save money because things that look great on a coat-hanger, generally don't look great on Ann's body. She NEEDS to try things on.

Anyway, when she came home I went for another little walk. It's been a lovely sunny day, (even though our weather app said it was going to rain this afternoon), and it's looking like it's going to be a lovely evening.

Ann's off out to the 'Steak House' this evening with a couple of friends. First time since last summer that she's actually been able to go to a restaurant in Scotland, with friends and have a meal, with alcohol indoors. Whoooohooo. You have no idea how excited she is?!!!!

I'm excited too because often when she goes to the 'Steak House' she doesn't manage to eat all her steak so she brings me home little titbits.

Mmmmm............................ apparently she's really hungry tonight!!!
