Buttercups

Nora Jo and Hunter came by this morning with their grandmother. They were on a hunt for buttercups and we had just what they were looking for. of course we played the under the chin, do you like butter game.

It was a well timed visit.  Merry's bloodwork results came in early this morning and are very troubling. Her liver enzymes which were high, have increased again. Her vet is worried. Merry's situation not at a level where she needs to be in an ER, but her wait to see the specialist is long. I'm hoping we can get her in earlier, but the Covid backlog is the problem.

Needless to say, we are a mess. The not knowing, and the knowing that we don't want her to suffer, I'm in knots. I did see my acupuncturist at noon. He's a cat lover and marvelous clinician, very empathetic and helpful. But really, nothing helps. We are absolutely crushed. She is the smartest cat I have ever known, athletic, loving and absolutely gorgeous. This is very, very hard after losing our Raspberry.

For the Record,
This day came in warm and lovely.

All hands worried about our Merry Mischief.
