Columbine ( Aquilegia vulgaris )

I find these attractive flowers, Clickychick however used to dislike them.   You are wondering why.  They had them in the garden as a child and she kept finding Earwigs ( Forficula auricularia )  had crept into the flower and were hiding up in the horns of the flower.

A while ago I commented on a lipper who had blipped a fully open Columbine, remarked on how far things were "on" further south.  This shot illustrates the fact.   Theirs was fully open 4 days ago and ours are only just opening, this is the first to be showing any signs of being fully open.
