Pheasant's Eye

A third day's digging.  What was a piece of grass is now a dug-over bed waiting for the next stage.  The garden looks much better for it.  However, the soil is strewn with rocks, far more than I imagined.  I think the thing to do is remove what I can and build up the soil over the years with garden compost.  Easy to say.  And I'll have to find someplace to put the rocks ...
Meantime the pheasant eye daffodils are blooming - just love their simplicity.  It is a favourite.
