The Old General Hospital

prabably better enlarged for the stone work

As promised this is the other side overlooking the Cabot Basin Thisis part of the side view. It is built round an inner courtyard and the Victorian part has been added onto in various places but the new developers are probably going to remove the 'carbuncles' and make flats out of the rest.

The spire is that of St Mary's Redcliffe, Elizabeth 1 called it "the fairest, goodliest, and most famous parish church in England." The red boat to the right was a light ship but is now the club house of the Cabot Cruising Club with members boats in the foreground.
