New reality day 296

I present:

The Kirami Iron Monster. Not perhaps living to all my hype, but I like it. It's been a miserable grey and rainy day. I hope we get to test it during weekend. And I hope I get a nice picture with flames or food. My husband is the grill master in our house, so I need to convince him to make something.

Speaking of food. After work I did cabbage casserole. Nice salad and a mint vanilla shake for a dessert. I was supposed to make Jerusalem artichoke or sunroot or sunchoke / potato patties, but at that point I had no energy in me left. So I'll do that tomorrow. Or try to do.

After late lunch my husband and I went back to the backyard and front yard to continue our projects. We cut down some of the roses. I thing I took 4 or 5 big loads on wheelbarrows to the area where we are collecting them and we managed to cut down maybe 2-3 meters. It's a grim chore. We (mostly my husband) also dug out two bushes left on the backyard that I want to be removed so I can grow eatable things there. One of the bushes was replanted in front of our kitchen window and the other one next to the steep hill where we are cutting down the roses.

That was enough work for one day. Except we got pretty muddy digging and dragging in the rain, so I did need to put on one cycle of laundry.

I thin it's time for a little snack and then off to sleep. I didn't take my nap this afternoon. One for early morning and then I have the weekend off. Thank goodness.
