what big ears you've got......

strange looking bird species on the empty bird table this morning!! maybe he's safer under there away from predators!

The strong winds have started hitting us this afternoon, but thankfully I managed to get out for a walk this morning - really needed it as didn't sleep very well so wanted to wake myself up! Headed to the creek as common terns have been spotted along there recently - I've not seen them yet!

Did get to witness nature at work though as there was a mummy coot swimming along with 3 babies, then there was a rustle in the reeds and a young fox grabbed one of the babies :( mummy coot cried for about 10 minutes and then got on with looking after the other 2! I kept watch hoping that the fox wouldn't come back while I was there! Was also serenaded by marsh frogs along the creek who were in fine voice! Didn't spot any though so they'd hidden well!

Trying to protect thing in the garden now for the next 24 hours with winds supposed to be strengthening.  Stay safe people!!
