Chained

Wonderfully low tide this afternoon, so Ollie and I spent a good while fossicking about down at the waters edge, looking for interesting stones, exploring rock pools and finding bits of broken pottery. I shall blip one of the finds another day - it's quite scary!

Higher up the beach we unearthed this old wheel. The fact that it has a chain attached probably means it has been used as a mooring or anchor at some point. It might be coming home with us, but it's too heavy for me to move, so will require dragging a husband away from his bathroom duties to assist!
