The sunny Yorkshire coast.
We were up early today. Darren decided we were going to Whitby. He’d checked the weather app and it indicated the weather would be ok until the afternoon so his thinking was that the earlier we got there the more of the better weather we would have. We parked up and we’re walking towards the pier before 9 am. The pier was quiet at this time but it’s not somewhere I like to be, the gaps between the boards scare me and there is a big drop underneath. We did walk to the very end and the sea was very much in so not much beach available.
We spent a good few hours at whitby and even saw a steam train at the station, the trains travel from Pickering to whitby and back again and are a popular thing for tourists to do.
The weather remained sunny so we had a short drive up the road to the small fishing village of staithes, I had a run on the beach here as the sea had gone out and there are no restrictions on dogs going on beach here. We spent a few hours at staithes and could have easily put a photo up from there as Darren took plenty. We made our way back to whitby and as it was still sunny Darren stopped here again to enable me to have another run about on beach. We set off back to caravan about half 5, it had been a really good day.
