Pair on a pedestal.

Up and out in the garden early for once. It wasn't raining and I wanted to finish putting in the edging.  Got it done. It's not perfect but will do what is needed.  Some housework got done too and clothes washed.  Managed to get hold of my dental surgery and discovered  Richard who was my dentist has left and the remaining dentist is going next week.  The practise will reopen. There's no date but they will keep in touch.  I'll give it a while before I look for somewhere else I think.
 Later, by which time it was pouring, glass went to the recycling and my prescription to the chemist.  They are moving premises but closer to me thank goodness.  Meant to go to Strath after that to look for the dipper but drove off in the wrong direction on automatic pilot so went to Birnie instead. Put out bird food and got organised in the car but nobody came. The rain was heavy and put them off.  A few reluctant pigeons appeared after a while.  Not appealing but you know  how they say if life gives you lemons.  So I waited and was rewarded by this pair.  Missed the best moment when one gave the other a sharp peck.  Had a short wet walk. Scarcely saw a duck.  I'd better get my best waterproof gear out for the Japanese garden tomorrow.
