Giving Macro a Go

I've been taking photographs for quite a while now but never delved into the world of macro / close up. I was idly considering whether to get a macro lens (cheap, second hand, you understand) when I remembered I had some extension adapters.so I gave one a very quick try in the windy, wet garden. Sort of works. The picture is not very sharp as I pushed the ISO right up, but on a bright day (or with the right lights) I think the results would be acceptable. A few hundred quid saved? Tick.
