Stormy Weather
It has been raining for a great deal of today, on top of which we've had a constant high wind, 50-60 mph, all in all not ideal May holiday weather.
We stayed in until after lunch then as the rain abated a little we drove into Dawlish. As expected the sea was very rough in the high winds and I tried to capture this in photos; not easy, one loses the vibrancy, the noise, the feel of the spray and the buffeting of the wind, but anyway this is today's blip.
We took a walk along the sea wall to Coryton Cove, the newly rebuilt wall was certainly doing a good job of keeping the sea off the railway tracks which run between the sea and the town. We met Colin on the way back and went for a coffee, outside of course, in the howling gale. Then a walk up the gardens that run through the centre of Dawlish to the duck sanctuary.
We arrived back at the car as the rain restarted.
