It's so good to be home!

Packed up the car this morning and headed out - arrived at the cottage in time for lunch.   It's the first visit here since last fall and it is so good to be here!     Peaceful and quiet, birds chirping, chipmunks everywhere and this family of Canada Geese visited several times today for their meals.    It almost seems that the geese think of this island as their home, but they seem  willing to share it with us as long as we respect their privacy and leave them alone.  
Also went in swimming today!    The  water was so cold - but very refreshing!    Hope the weather stays nice - looking forward to a swim every day!   
This really is home for myself and the rest of our family.   We were raised here and spent every summer at the family cottage.   Now our children and grandchildren are spending a lot of their summers here as well!   It's a tradition that I hope will remain in the family for many years to come!
