The Mole Cricket (Gryllotalpidae)

R jnr loved them since he was a little boy! He called them his little dogs! He kept them in a little glass fish tank with soil in it, and watched them digging and eating and laying eggs. He found this one outside yesterday, but I think it was almost at the end of it's life cycle, because it died this afternoon, despite all the care R took to keep it alive.
