Interest from far away
Today was a cold, dull and damp day - perfect for hot buttered crumpets for lunch while watching an interesting seminar. Thanks to elgoldave we became aware of a recent, freely available lecture/seminar about the recent Scottish elections by Prof Sir John Curtice. It was hosted by the University of Glasgow and was called "What happened, and what might happen next?" We might be on the other side of the world but we are interested in all things Scottish - and we are always interested in politics. We don't have an opinion on what would be best for Scotland regarding independence. We certainly don't know enough. From the research cited in the seminar it seems that Scotland is well and truly divided on the matter. Such polarisation seems to be widespread on all sorts of critical matters throughout the world at the moment. Certainly Australia is experiencing its fair share of the phenomenon.
