Long road home
I couldn’t resist taking a photo of this lovely Iris blooming in Grace’s garden and the deep pink Hawthorne blossom that we passed on the lane most days to use for Flower Friday.
I spent the morning with Eda whilst Grace took Jude to swimming. She spent some time ‘packing’ her precious treasures that she had chosen to bring to Granny’s for the coming week. After lunch we set off.
Not a very good trip though both children were extremely good. The first part of the journey wasn’t too bad with little rain. We stopped for a break at the start of the M42. The rest of the M42/A42 had speed restrictions between 40 - 60mph. When we hit the M1we hit the rain. The spray was shocking till we got to Sheffield and then the rest of the way wasn’t too bad, just tedious!
It’s a long way but Eda is thrilled to be here and re acquaint herself with all her familiar friends. All new to Jude of course - her first visit to Yorkshire - it’s taken 8 months as she is 8 months old today!
