What a nippy day!!

Beautiful view from upstairs at home this morning. Uplifting for a while and then came more snow!

Had a very productive day at the workhouse as well as some very kind and gratefully received help from a good samaritan today . It always amazes me how truly thoughtful and kind people are in a time of need. Our secretary is still off and we have a wee "penny from heaven" who offered to help out with the door and the phone. Can't really say how invaluable this was. This kind of act restores my faith in the world.

Moved ahead on paper quite a long way today - and also got a day of teachers out working together all day tomorrow. Good and challenging stuff!

My cousin may pop in tonight on his way between Doncaster and Perth - better keep the kettle warm. I love how friends and family just do that! Always great to see a cheery face and catch up on the chat.
