Ruth takes on the Bridge

It’s Mum’s birthday today. She would be 103.

Mum lived a modest, quiet life and spent her whole life in the English countryside. She was naturally timid and self effacing, but she was also amazingly courageous. She hardly ever travelled outside her home town, but she made three trips to Australia. On her second trip, in 1984, we walked across the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
